Benoît Poher was born the June 27th 1979 in the Yvelines (in Paris region). He is the singer of the French rock group Kyo. Its fans often call it “Ben”.

Biography

Wire of musicians, the desire for creating music came to him during its years from studies. Benoit became acquainted with the three other members of Kyo (Fabien Dubos (beater), Florian Dubos and Nicolas Chassagne) in 1994 when they were with the college. He was singer of the group as of their adolescence, when they started to play together.

For Benoit Poher, “the most emotional moment of its life” will have been that where he heard for the first time at the radio a song of Kyo.

Beginning 2006, at the time of the debates on the bill DADVSI and of provisions intended to prevent or punish the copy of files of music via Internet, Benoît Poher announces his support for the project, quoting the Popular republic of China in example for its censures network:

“the trick which the most spoke me in what it Sarkozy to us said, it is the possibility of closing an illegal download location because is to attack people who propose free music and not to attack the Net surfers. Internet one can do anything. One can prevent these sites from being usable in France. They do it well in China. ”
