Together, they conclude however that the results obtained by these autotransplantations are imperfect and put forward the idea that a Allogreffe of face could be used to repair patients suffering from severe disfigurations.

The November 26th 2005, Benoit Lengelé realizes thus with Bernard Devauchelle and Sylvie Testelin in Amiens the first allogreffe partial of the face to repair the mutilated face of Isabelle Dinoire, an young woman seriously bitten by a dog having torn off the nose to him, the lips and the chin.

Benoit Lengelé is moreover an artist of talent, so that the review Leuwen , making of him the Belgian scientific personality of the year 2006, describes it like “the Master of the Art of the Portrait”.
