Bell VDP
The Cloche VDP (Direct and Periscopic Vision) are elements composing the works of the Ligne Maginot. They are used by the blocks observatories of the works or the field artillery observatories. Their number is unknown to date.
Description
Bells VDP are equipped with 3 crenels of direct vision which their make it possible to observe the events in real-time without taking the least risk, even during a battle. For the periods known as calm bells VDP could put to them Périscope out of battery. Bells VDP could be equipped with periscopes of the type M and NR. a periscope of the P2 type could also be installed for the observation of the gleams of night. A P8 periscope could be set up in help of a periscope which would have been destroyed.
