The beaches of Prado , or rather the beaches of the balneal park of Prado, are the nickname of the beaches Gaston Defferre located at Marseilles.

The balneal park of Prado is an artificial installation of the littoral created in the end of the Années 1970 by Gaston Defferre. They were set up using the embankments resulting from the construction of the two lines of subway Marseillaises. Their construction must partly with the fact that before that, the days of mistral, the waves of the sea came to die at the edge of the roadway sprinkling copiously busy and vehicles which were on this very attended passage. In addition it is there that the traditional course of the Huveaune, river at the time very polluted, was thrown in the Mediterranean near the Borély Park in Marseilles. For ten years, the major part of the river has been deviated towards the Purification plant of water of Marseilles; one of most important of Europe. Polluted water thus is now rejected into the creek of Cortiou.

The made alterations created a pleasant framework where it is not rare to see families walking there and amateurs of kite to devote itself to their passion.

The beaches of Prado are majority in fine gravel. They are supervised and arranged during the summer.
