Beach Rugby
The beach Rugby is a collective Sport adapted Rugby to XV and practitioner, as its name indicates it, on the beach or, at least, sand. He opposes two teams of 5 players.
This sport wants to be more ludic and easier of access. This new sport does not have a payment really defined and the rules can enormously differ from one tournament to another.
Principal difference with Rugby with XV
- the beach is played barefeet out of tee-shirt and shorts/shirt.
- the ground is smaller, approximately 40m length and 35 broad.
- the duration of the match is generally of 2 X 15 minutes with a short pause at the half-time.
- temporary expulsions are 3 minutes, any expulsion final involving the exclusion of the tournament.
- the platings are replaced by one touched with 2 hands simultaneous. After 3 touched, the balloon is given to the adversary.
- It has there neither touches, neither mixed, neither transformation, nor kick of penalty.
- the handing-over concerned is carried out in the center of the ground.
- the balloon is smaller than that of Rugby with XV.
