The bay-tree of California or myrtle of Oregon ( Umbellularia californica ) is an aromatic tree with the persistent foliage of the family of the lauraceous which is originating in the Pacifique coast of the the United States (California and south of the Oregon) and of the Mexico (northern of the Low-California). It is the only species of the kind Umbellularia .
