Battle of Tourane

Victoire gained the April 15th 1847 by two ships of the marine Frenchwoman under the command of the captain Augustin de Lapierre over the fleet of the kingdom Vietnam IEN of Nguyên off the town of Tourane which is called today Da Nang.

4 Corvette S Vietnameses are run and a fifth is very damaged. The Vietnameses lose meadows of 1200 men at the time of this battle.
