In 1813 Napoleon i decides to give up his dream to conquer the Russia. Six armies are combined in order to demolish the French at the time of the Bataille of Leipzig. The emperor François Ier of Austria is interested by the signature of a peace treaty but Alexandre Ier of Russia and Frederic-Guillaume III of Prussia wish to invade the France. Just like Napoleon had entered Moscow, the Alexander Tsar wanted to penetrate in Paris, thing which had not been carried out by a foreign army for 400 years.
Involved forces
The armies Austrian, Prussian and Russian are joined together under the command of the marshal Karl Philipp de Schwarzenberg but the Tsar Alexandre (accompanied by his strategists) supervised the operations in background. The allies had 100 000 men at their disposal. Napoleon lets his brother Joseph Bonaparte defend Paris with 20 000 regular soldiers, under the command of the marshal Auguste Marmont. He adds 30 000 National Guards directed by the marshals Good Adrien Jeannot de Moncey and Edouard Mortar.
