Batscap

Batscap is a company which specializes in the design of accumulating lithium also known under the name of Supercondensateur.

History

Created in 2001 by the Group Bolloré, Batscap specializes to develop and industrialize accumulators with lithium and of the supercondensator. Électricité de France holds 20 % of the share, and the company announced in March 2007 the acquisition of Avestor with close to the American company of state Canadian Hydro-Quebec and private Anadarko. BatScap has one second installation of 12.000 m 2 with Boucherville, the Canada.

Spheres of activities

The applications of the technology developed by the company include the Electric car (like plug of energy between the Variable speed transmission and the Accumulator battery), but also all the cases of electric Stockage of energy with extreme climatic conditions (for example: Starter of Locomotive S, control of orientation of the Blade S of the wind S).
