Base Mérimée

The bases Mérimée is a Database, initiated and managed by the ministry for the Culture, which indexes the monumental inheritance French in all its diversity: religious architecture, domestic, agricultural, school, military and industrial, that it is protected under the historic buildings or not. This database is updated periodically. The name refers to the writer Prosper Mérimée who was also general inspector of the historic buildings.
