Bar (boat)

On a Boat, the bars is the module of operation of the Gouvernail. It can have several aspects:

  • the bars frank , which consists of a metal or wood stem directly connected to the wick of the saffron,
  • the bars with wheel , consistent in a wheel actuating the saffron via pulleys and of drosses.
  • On certain modern ships, the rudder can be replaced by a dynamic system of positioning; its order is done by means of a joystick.
