Bainitic cast iron

The bainitic pig iron and cast iron , so called pig iron and cast iron A.D.I (Ductile Austempered Iron) or Ausferritiques, are obtained by thermal treatment staged Trempe parts in cast iron with spheroid graphite. The bainitic pig iron and cast iron has very good mechanical characteristics and is generally used for parts undergoing of the important shocks during their use (pinion of gears, shovels of bulldozer…). Approximately 10 thousand tons are produced per annum in Europe and 100 thousand tons in the United States.
