Baillistre

In feudal Right, the baillistre is that which with the guard and the supervision of the noble children during their minority.

For example, Pierre de Dreux was baillistre Duché of Brittany of 1213 to 1237, initially in the name of his first wife Alix of Brittany, then during the minority of their oldest son, Jean Ier of Brittany.
