Bag dustbin

The bag dustbin is a Sac used to transport the Déchet S. These bags can be several colors: for example, the black traditional bag is used for the transport of household waste, whereas the yellow or transparent bag can be used for waste to recycle.

However, the application of the plane Vigipirate involved in France the use in the public places of transparent bags, thus dissuading from possible terrorists to deposit a suspect package there.

History

Before the bag dustbin, waste was collected in Poubelle S out of iron, during the collections all these dustbins made an unbearable din.

The bag dustbin was created in 1950, by the Canadians Harry Wasylyk, Larry Hansen and Frank Plomp. In a recent special program on CBC Television, the bags dustbins were classified with the 36e row among the 50 more important Canadian inventions.

NF normalizes

These bags are subjected to the standard NF which supervises:

the compostability and the Biological breakdown of the plastic;
the resistance of the bag so that it does not tear during the collection;
impact environmental as for their manufacture and with their destruction;
the quality and quantity of inks used, so that they are not harmful with health or the environment.

Use

They can be used either directly posed in the street to be collected by a working of the collection, or inside a waste container to avoid dirtying it. They consist most of the time of plastic or starch of corn.

The bags dustbins are used for the collection or pre-collection of waste, and are used by the private individuals or the communities. They are relatively light and particularly useful for the refuse wet or dirtying, as it is usually the case with food waste, they are also useful to reduce the odors. The plastic bags are often used for the coatings of the litter or the vats or containers with waste.

The bags dustbins, because of their capacity and of their sealing, see sometimes their function diverted to make some, for example, of improvised impermeable clothing, the toboggans.

These bags are sold in several formats (25 liters, 50 liters, 100 liters…), most of the time in rollers.
