BAP is one of the German-speaking rock'n'roll groups most known. To be exact, the group sings in dialect colonais. Their music so much as for the contents than as for the style is inspired by their models Bob Dylan, Rolling Stones and Beatles, but also by Bruce Springsteen which is dependant of friendship with the singer Wolfgang Niedecken. The most known songs abroad are “Kristallnaach” (“Night of Crystal” - album Vun Drinne noh Druze ) and “Verdamp Lang her” of the album Für Usszeschnigge! ).
History
The group, formed around the singer Wolfgang Niedecken, exists since 1979. Their name, “BAP” (“dad” colonais some) comes from the nickname of Wolfgang Niedecken.Wolfgang Niedecken is only founding member qu still formed part of the group.
In 2005, BAP occurs for the “Live 8” in Berlin.
