Béatrix de Bourbourg

Béatrix (°v. 1133 †?av.1142 with Ardres). Girl of Henri de Bourbourg and Sibyl of Guînes. Heiress of the county of Guînes.

Biography

Béatrix is reached great infirmities, such as the stone, or the gravel.

Its disease pushed her husband to leave it to join his country. Only, the death of Manassès, recalled it to the county of Guines.

But after having taken possession of the title and paid homage to Thierry of Alsace, Count de Flandre, it turned over to England, leaving his wife with Henri, the lord of the manor of Bourbourg, his father, and his ground to the guard of the lord of Ham.

Béatrix was buried with the monastery of Holy Marie de Capelle, without posterity.
