A monopropellant is a Ergol of formation often Endothermique, which with the property to suffice oneself for itself to ensure the Propulsion in a Moteur-fusée. Often, the monopropellants require the use of a Catalyseur to ensure their decomposition.
Example of monopropellant: Hydrazine (catalyst: ferrous or ferric ion (rarer)).
