Avranchin
One calls Avranchin the Norman country whose principal city is Avranches (south-western department of the Manche). It is turned towards bay of the Mont Saint-Michel.
Its Gallic inhabitants were the Abrincates.
At the time of the treaty of Compiegne of 867, Avranchin is yielded to the king Salaün of Brittany by Charles the Bald person then joined together in 933 by Guillaume Long-Sword with the Duché of Normandy.
Gentilé of Avranchin is Avranchinais .
