Aventin
The Aventin ( Aventinus in Latin, today Assembles di Santa-Sabina ) is one of the Seven hills of the Rome, all southernmost, located between the the Tiber, the mount Caelius and the mount Palatin.
This hill was joined together at the city by Ancus Marcius. In the Antiquity, one saw there, inter alia monuments, the Temple of Freedom and a Temple of Diane.
The Plebs, in conflict with the Patriciat, was withdrawn there several times until it obtained recognition of its rights, in particular in 493 av. J. - C. and 449 av. J. - C..
Aventin is as known as the Palatin or even the Capitole.
