Auyuittuq national park
The National park Auyuittuq is a Canadian national park located on the peninsula of Cumberland, in the east of the Île of Baffin to the Nunavut. The name of the park means “the ground which never melts” in Inuktitut. The landscape consists of Fjord S and Glacier S.
One finds there a vegetation relatively abundant with many flowers (Dryade with eight petals, Caryophyllacées, Papavéracées, Saxifrage S), Bouleau X and Saule S dwarves, as of the Bruyère S. the plant variety is due to a microclimate within the park.
The principal tops are the Mont Asgard (2 015 m) and the Mont Thor (1 675 m).
