One calls sometimes the author of creative play of play . It is often this term which is employed to appoint the new authors of plays and the majority of the contests of new talents speak about creators. The word author seems rather employed to appoint the established authors, having already seen several their published plays.

Creative process

Sometimes the author creates his play on the basis of a topic which inspires it, sometimes on the basis of mechanisms. The most famous authors of play have several tens of plays in the course of design, of which some only arrive until the stage of the edition.

Before proposing his play at a publisher of play, the author must try out his idea, test and refine the mechanisms and the rules, find a title and a provisional topic which will not be inevitably retained by the editor.

The Community

The authors take part sometimes in contest of creators of which some are reserved to the young authors whose no play was still published.

They are found sometimes within associations to defend their rights, to weave relations and to promote the creation of board games.
