Augustin Dumay
Augustin Dumay is a Violoniste French born in 1949. Member of a family of musicians.
He enters to the Conservatoire of Paris as of the 10 years age for two years, then he follows private courses, amongst other things five years at Arthur Grumiaux with Brussels. At the 14 years age he plays festival of Montreux and draws the attention of Henryk Szeryng and Joseph Szigeti. Its international career begins in 1979 after a concert with Herbert von Karajan with Paris It made an extraordinary career of soloist, under the direction of the big bosses and with all the orchestras of world famous, it obtained innumerable prices of discs and took part in many festivals like Montreux, Bath, Berlin, Lucerne, Monaco, Aix-en-Provence, Leipzig, Montpellier, Ravinia and with the Lincoln Center with New York.
In September 2003, it took again the artistic director of the royal Orchestre of room of Wallonia in Belgium founded by Lola Bobesco.
