Auguste Vistel

Auguste Vistel , born on July 16th, 1905 with Annecy and deceased on April 14th, 1994 was the cofounder into 1948 of the editions Aventures & Voyages with Bernadette Ratier then into 1950 of the editions Lug with Marcel Navarro.

Chemical engineer of formation, it especially illustrated himself in the resistance to which it took an active share, under the pseudonym of “Colonel Alban”, in the maquis of the region of Lion.

He was also impassioned by civilizations of Latin America on the subject of which he wrote several works.

His/her Claude daughter, who worked already for the editions Lug since January 1960, replaced it in her functions as from 1988 until 1993.
