Association to remake the school
The Association to remake school (ARLE) is a Genevese association created the November 6th 2001 by a septantaine of teachers of the Primaire, Cycle of orientation and post-obligatory .
Creation of association
The teachers at the origin of ARLE say to defend a Pédagogie centered on the To know S, and are opposed to the reforms of the Genevese education system which they regard as as many drifts putting in danger the future of the children and the public school . One their first claims is the return of the notes to the elementary school. The teachers present at the time of the constituent assembly announce following concern to justify the creation of association:-
knowledge disparaged by the pedagogs : The researchers of the Faculty of Science of education estimate that the school must transmit other knowledge that those which it conveyed up to now (i.e. more complex knowledge). At the same time, these researchers admit that the institution did not know to rather clearly define the objectives of teaching of this complex knowledge.
- the demanding teachers estimate mobbés : Many teachers also speak about mobbing against those which are due to their requirements. A teacher who dares to put bad marks risks large because it passes easily for a facho or a dinosaur reactionary . To be quiet, certain teachers thus release the support.
- the teachers feel released by the Syndicat S : The current evolutions receive the support as well right as trade unions. Line, because the reform is initiated by the liberal adviser of State Martine Brunschwig Graf, and trade unions because the apparatus of the department of the state education would mainly vote with left and that these reforms would be based on a tradition soixante-huitarde and Libertaire . Several schools resigned besides in block of these trade unions.
