Assistant realizer

The trade of assistant realizer (initially that of the first assistant realizer ) is one of the many trades of the audiovisuel.

In Television or Cinéma it is engaged at the beginning of the preparation of a film and can even have to work on the project before even this phase (pre-preparation/budgetary study).
Artistic collaborator and technique direct of the realizer:
- It is responsible for the planning of turning. For that it establishes the Scheme of work in agreement with the producer and/or his représentant.
- It coordinates and frames the various departments in preparation (repetitions actors, fittings costumes, repetitions cascades, locations…) and during turning (followed planning, respect of the schedules, direction of the figuration…)
- It supervises with the director of production and the chiefs of station concerned the security conditions of the tournage.

On turning, it is constantly at the sides of the Réalisateur, and assists it by supervising the good walk of the plate. It makes respect silence on the plate, announces the repetitions, enquiert of the feasibility of the catches…
His/her principal collaborators are: the realizer, the Directing of production, technical chiefs of station: Director of the photography, general Manager, Chief decorator, Accessories supplier (S), costumièr (E), make-up man (euse)…
With its team made up of one or more assistants (second and third assistant…) it sets up and directs the figuration.

It supervises each day for the following day the Sheet of service, “order of mission” of day's work (and worked out by the second assistant realizer).
