- Factory of water Crystal Rock, invented in 1968 by max Reculard (1908-1999).
Famous characters
Max Reculard, of origin Norman (Dieppe) arrived at Ardenay in 1945 and there bought a mill with its grounds, the Neuf.Il Mill had made the Hotel School of Nice and had exerted the trade of restorer with his Marie-Therese wife during the war of 1939-1945 in Offranville close to Dieppe. At the time of its arrival with Ardenay he did not know anything with agriculture but very voluntary, curious about all and courageous he at the head put himself to cultivate the 23 hectares of poor grounds (sand) which he had bought. Money lack it went to seek 2 oxen in the Limousin and a mare of Breton feature. (continuation in a forthcoming day).
