Archdiocese of Ouagadougou
The apostolic vicariate Burkinabe of Ouagadougou is created on July 2nd 1921, by scission of the apostolic vicariate of the Sahara in French Sudan (of which the seat was located at Bamako, with the Mali).
It is set up in archdiocese ( Archidioecesis Uagaduguensis ) on September 14th 1955.
