Archdiocese of Montreal
The archdiocese of Montreal was set up on June 18th, 1886. It becomes the metropolitan Siège on May 10th, 1887. Previously it had been set up in Diocèse on May 13rd, 1836 and district on February 1st, 1820. Its seat archiépiscopal is the Cathédrale Marie-Queen-of-World in the district of City-Marie.
