Archdiocese of Lusaka
The metropolitan archdiocese of Lusaka is the only archdiocese of Zambia. Its seat is with Lusaka, the capital of the country.
The évêchés suffragan ones are Chipata, Livingstone, Mongu, Monze, Ndola and Solwezi. After having been apostolic prefecture of 1946 to 1950, then apostolic vicariate of 1950 to 1959, the head office of Lusaka was set up in archdiocese the April 25th 1959.
The current archbishop is Mgr Medardo Joseph Mazombwe, which has as an auxiliary Mgr Telesphore George Mpundu.
Former archbishop: Emmanuel Milingo (1969 - 1983).
