Arab nationalist congress

The Arab nationalist Congress also known under the name of Congress panarabe or Arab National congress is a congress gathering of the nationalist Arabic, the purpose of who is the unification of the Arab Monde, the defense of the Arab causes and the democratization of the Arab modes. The congress is chaired by the Morocco Ain Khalid Sefiani which succeeded the Lebanon board Mouaïn Bachour. The seat of the party is with Beirut, with the Lebanon, but the Congress is held in various Arab countries every year.

The congress was held for the first time in 1990 with Tunis. The congress was created thanks to the convergence from point of view between Arab intellectuals and political parties.

The Congress made possible the creation of the Islamist Nationalist Congrès which gathers parties, politicians and Moslem associations . The Congress also created the Congrès of the Arab parties. These three organizations regularly hold a general congress during which they discuss arabo-Moslem women questions. The congress joins together more than 260 Arab intellectuals, writers and journalists. Many political parties take part each year in this congress.

Hassan Nasrallah, the general secretary of the Hezbollah, took part in the last congress to bring closer the points of view to the Arab nationalists and the islamist movements.
