Apia

Apia is the Capitale Samoa. In 2001, the city counted 38.800 inhabitants.

Geography

Apia is located on the northern coast of the island Upolu, in a natural port with the mouth of the Vaisigano river. To the south of the city extends a narrow coastal plain, with the foot of the Mont Vaea which culminates to 472 m of altitude.

Demography

Apia counted 38.836 inhabitants at the time of the census of 2001. Its agglomeration gathered at the same date 60.734 people.

Apia is the only city and the only port of importance of all the country.
