Anseau de Joinville (1265 - 1343) is the son of Jean de Joinville, the chronicler of Saint Louis. He becomes lord de Joinville in 1317 and Marshal of France in 1339.

Marriages and children

He marries in first weddings in 1302 Laure of Saarbrucken, girl of Simon IV of Saarbrucken, lord of Commercy, and Mathilde de Sexefontaine, and had a girl:
  • Jeanne, lady of Rimaucourt, married with Jean de Noyers (1323-1361), count de Joigny, then in November 1335 with Aubert VI of Hangest, lord of Genlis.

Widower, it remarie in 1323 with Marguerite de Vaudémont (1305 † 1333), girl of Henri III, count de Vaudémont, and of Isabelle of Lorraine, and had:

  • Henri V (1327 † 1365), count de Vaudémont and lord of Joinville.
  • Isabeau, married in June 1348 with Jean de Vergy († 1370), lord of Mirabeau.
  • Mathilde, married with Charles, lord of Haraucourt and Louppy.
