Biography

Anne of Laval east lady heiress of Laval, baroness heiress of Glazed, Viscountess heiress of Rennes, Châtillon, Gavre, Acquigny, Aubigné, Courbeveille, lady heiress of Tinténiac, Bécherel and Romillé. Heiress of these titles by the successive and accidental death of his/her two brothers, Guy and François.

It is the girl of Jeanne of Laval-Tinténiac, widow of Of Guesclin, which had married in second weddings the governor of Brittany and baron of Laval, Guy XII of Laval († 1412).

Family

It Marie the January 22nd 1404 like girl and single heiress of Guy XII of Laval, with Jean de Montfort, S. of the known as place and Kergolay, where were present several bishops and the largest lords of Brittany.

One of the conditions is that the children to be born from this marriage carry the name and weapons of Laval. The same rule had already applied before at the time of the marriage of Emma of Laval with Mathieu II of Montmorency. However, Jean de Montfort gives up him even of sound living his name to take that of Guy XIII of Laval, in order to be associated with the capacity with his wife, Anne of Laval.
