Angita

In the Ancient Rome, Angita (or Angitia ) was the Déesse of the Guérison and the Sorcellerie.

Angitia was a goddess snake. Owing to the fact that the snakes were often associated with arts of the cure in old Roman mythology, It is thus thought that Angitia was mainly a goddess of the cure. She all was particularly venerated by Marsi, people of the center of Italy. She had capacities of sorcery and was main in the art of the miraculous cures and herbales, in particular when they were bites of snakes. One allotted also a large variety to him of capacities on the snakes, by including the capacity there to kill the snakes with only one touch. Many Romans thought that it was identifiable with Bona Dea.
