Andrzej Wajda

Andrzej Wajda is a Réalisateur and Scénariste Polish, born the March 6th 1926 with Suwalki (Poland).

Biography

Born from a mother teacher and a father officer. Two years after the year (1940) where his/her father was killed at the time of the Massacre of Katyń by the Soviet , Andrzej Wajda engaged in the resistance against the occupant Nazi, within the Polish army of the interior, Armia Krajowa). At the end of the war, it carried out studies of cinema to the Académie of the Art schools of Cracow, then with Łódź. Married with the Polish actress Krystyna Zachwatowicz
