Andreas Hedlund

Andreas Hedlund (born in 1973), is a singer, musician and producing Swedish of Heavy metal, also known under the name Vintersorg and Mr. V . He officiates in varied fields: Black metal, progressive Metal, Folk metal and others.

Biography

Beginnings

The musical career of Andreas Hedlund starts with the groups Masticator (Death metal) and Cosmic Death (Black metal). These two groups did not live very a long time, and produced only demonstrations with the diffusion extrèmement restricted.

In 1994, after the stop of these groups, Andrea decides to explore new ideas, by mixing elements of Black metal, (blast happy, fast fronts of guitars, grognées voices) with Musique folk, melodies, and voices clear. This new group is called " Vargatron" , (" Throne of the loup"). The group separates during the summer 1996 for lack from interest from the other members.

The group is ressuscity by Andreas like solo project, which it re-elects Vintersorg, which means sorrow of winter . Vintersorg exists still to date. Signed at Napalm Records, the music of this group knew many changes of styles, always in evolution and handing-over in question.

At the same time as Vargatron, in 1995 was formed another group. Constituted from Vintersorg to the song and the guitar, Mattias Marklund with the guitar and Stefan Strömberg with the battery, the group was born on ashes from " Blackburning Evening" a group of Death metal in which played these three musicians. Wearied pieces " Blackburning Evening" , they thus decide to create Otyg in homage to their roots, and decide to play a Folk metal melody, taking as a starting point the Scandinavian traditions . They engage with their with dimensions the CIA Hedmark , violonist and singer, Daniel Fredriksson bass player also playing of the Willow flute, the keyed fiddle and the guitar-lute.

The group carries out three demonstrations then, and ends up signing a contract at Napalm Records, which produces two albums. After the exit of the first album, Stefan and Samuel Norberg (which played of the Harmonica) leave the group. Fredrik Nilsson replaces beater in 2002. Daniel takes the role of Harmoniciste. The group is put outstanding in 2002, Andreas and Mattias lacking inspiration for this project.

The new millenium

On arrival of the year 2000, Andreas is interested in another project. This new group, called Havayoth, is a group of Gothic metal formed by Marcus " Vargher" E. Norman (Ancient Wisdom, Bewitched, Naglfar, and Throne off Ahaz) and Morgan Hansson of Naglfar.

Andreas sings on the album His Creation Reversed left in 2000. But it leaves the group some time afterwards. The group continues to play without Hedlund.

Old friends

After the departure of the singer ICS Vortex , Borknagar sought a substitute. Friend for some time, Øystein G. Brown request in Andreas to hold this role for the album under development, Empiricism .

Andreas thus joined the group in 2001, and remains the titular singer to date. This formation recorded two albums, published at Century Media Records, a troisème being in production. The group also occurred on scene on many occasions.

In 2002, Benny Hägglund , an old friend of Andreas and beater live for its project Vintersorg, starts to work with a project which would combine melody and aggressiveness in energetic songs. He asks Andreas to help it in this project, which gave the birth of Fission. Benny plays there of the battery, the guitar and the low . Andreas there sings and adds with dimensions experimental to their Thrash melody metal thanks to its play of synthé particular. The group recorded Crater , its first album left in 2004 at Napalm Records.

Today

With the autumn 2004, Andreas starts to write a new music at its lost hours. Reflecting more its reflections interior with dimensions emotional the more marked, it takes alord the form of a progressive and symphonic Rock, in rupture with the various styles of metal for which he is recognized. These ideas give rise to a new solo project which it calls Waterfield . Finally, M.V produces enough material for a complete album, which it ends up leaving to Lion music the January 20th 2006 under the name of The Astral Factor . The " groupe" be called from now on Waterclime.

As old friends Øystein G. Brown and Mr. V has ends up creating solids musical bonds, and sharing the same vision. They for a long time want to create a group, but this idea was deactivation when Andreas joined Borknagar. Finally, in 2005, the project returns to the last style. Called " ion" in the beginning, it is renamed Cronian, this project reflects the common vision of the two musicians. The songs go beyond the standard structures, to try to create a cinematographic environment, evoking images of Arctic landscapes imposing. The project gives its fruits the March 27th 2006, with the exit of the album Terra at Century Media Records.
