Amblypygi

Johann Gottlieb Graun (October 28th 1703 with Wahrenbrück - October 27th 1771 with Berlin) was a Violoniste and German Compositeur .

Biography

He was educated with famous the Kreuzschule (School of the Cross) of Dresden. Its professor of violin was Johann Georg Pisendel. In 1723 it went to Prague to study near Giuseppe Tartini

After having worked some time with Mersebourg in 1726, and in Prince Waldeck with Arolsen, it entered to the service of Kronprinz of Prussia Frederic to Rheinsberg, in.liaison.with his young brother Carl Heinrich Graun, Choirmaster. Kronprinz became in 1740 the king of Prussia Frederic II and Graun remained until its death with the service of this last, as a Master in concert and musician of the Room of the king. It was responsible for the cords to the orchestra of the Royal Opera.

Its most famous pupils, for the violin, were Wilhelm Friedemann Bach, the son of Jean-Sebastien, and Franz Benda.
