Alphonse Seyewetz
Alphonse Seyewetz was born in Lyon on March 14th at 1869
Former student of the school Martinière, it enters to the school of Chemistry in 1884.
After having made its military service with the 99è regiment of Infantry, A. Seyewetz turns over to the school as preparer. In 1900, it prepares a thesis of doctorate on the dyes.
It has misfortune to lose his wife after a few years of marriage.
Noticed particularly by J. Raulin, it is named chief of work in 1896, then sub-manager in 1926 pennies V. Hard grindstone and finally assistant editor in 1933.
In 1914, captain of hunters, it remains until in 1916, date on which it is recalled to direct several powder mills, it was then 47 years old.
Parallel to its work at the school of chemistry, the Company Light is interested in its work and asks him to collaborate in its research and its manufacture.
He was department head in this company of 1891 to 1940.
It is a particularly interesting example of Université-Industrie collaboration.
This work on photography is worth to him the gold medal of the French company of Photography.
It was around these two activities: School and Company Light that its life was entirely concretized.
Worker infatiguable, 10 to 12 noon per day did not frighten him, it still took time like Candide to cultivate its garden, often more than one hour per day! Fortunately derivative.
It was a man simple, optimistic, loved of all those which approached it, and of a devotion to any test.
Its work on the photography, of which some with the brothers Light, make authority.
But in spite of its courage, the disease at a rate of him, and he dies on April 21st, 1940 at the 71 years age.
