Alice is a Micro-ordinateur manufactured by the French company Matra - Hachette, sold as from 1983. It is a clone of an American microcomputer of the firm Tandy, the MC-10.

It is built around a processor Motorola 6803. (8 bits of data, 16 bits of address).

It has 4 kibioctets of memory, a safeguard on audio Cassette external. Small a keyboard is integrated into the Central processing unit. This one posts its results on a Télévision, via a catch péritel like much of microcomputers of its generation.

The concept of mouse existed, but only for expensive graphic materials and only starting from 1984 started to spread. The interactive entries are done thus only with the keyboard.

It is programmed like all the other microcomputers of the time in Langage BASIC like in Logo and Assembler for versions 32 and 90.

Alice is known in France thanks to her distribution in the schools within the framework of the program of State Informatique for all .

Two versions of Alice are Alice 32 known as Alice very short, and Alice 90.
