Ali Al-Sistani

Sayyid Ali Husaini Al-Sistani (in Arab: السيدعليالحسينيالسيستاني, in Persan: سیدعلیحسینیسیستانی) is a Ayatollah Iran IEN born the August 4th 1930 with Mashhad, in Iran. It is an influential political personality in Iraq since the inversion of the mode of Saddam Hussein.

Role in Iraq of post-war period (2003)

Since the invasion of the coalition of Iraq in 2003, Sistani, leader of the Shiite majority of the country, played an increasing political role. Little time after the occupation, it wrote Fatwa S inviting the Shiite clergy to imply itself in policy. It implied itself and invited to form a convention nelle Constitution, and required later a popular vote with intention forming a transition government. He criticized the American projects of Iraqi government which he did not consider democratic enough. Thus, he refused to address himself directly to the American authorities, and used many representatives dispersed in Iraq and with the the Middle East to diffuse his edicts and rules.

In September 2006, it says to be acknowledged impotent to stop the civil war which devastates the country. He declares: " I do not have any more the capacity to avoid the war civile"

The September 25th 2007, with Najaf, it calls the whole Iraqi with the unit. in front of tribal chiefs he declares: " Your country is rich and full with resources, I invite you to forget your divisions between you and with your brothers sunnites"

The September 27th 2007, during a discussion with the vice-president sunnite Tarek Al-Hachémi, Sistani strongly says " éprouvé" by denominational violences in Iraq. Al-Hachémi will declare thereafter in connection with the Ayatollah Sistani: " He said to me that its heart is consumed of pain for what occurs in Irak" " I found in Seyyed Sistani a man who has a great knowledge of all the problems of the Iraqis and Irak" .

The October 12th 2007, at the time of a sermon with Kerbala, Abdoul Mahdi Al Kerbalai the representative of the Ayatollah Sistani denounces the foreign private companies of safety which operate in Iraq. He declares: " These alien companies which work in Iraq scorn the Iraqi citizens innocents" " In some days, these companies killed without reason of many citizens whereas the occupying forces attacked villages like Al Jayzani, close to Khalis" Sitani claims by the way of its spokesperson that laws are enacted to protect the Iraqis.
