Alfred Margerin
Alfred Margerin is a man of Église French of the fine 19th-beginning 20th centuries.
Alfred Margerin is resulting from the family of the margerin of Iwuy. He will be bishop, vicar general of Lille (at least 1916-1926). He is also vice-chancellor of the catholic Université of Lille (1916).
It is probably the same Alfred Margerin who, cleaned Fourmies (Northern), interposed during the Fusillade of Fourmies on May 1st, 1891. The socialist leader Paul Lafargue wrote:

“Then, the soldiers, without to be caused by crowd, without to have made the three lawful summations, drew. Butchery would have lasted still a long time if the catholic priest Margerin, had not left the house and had not shouted: " Enough victims ". Last nine children were lying on the place, man a 30 year old, 2 young 20 year old people, 2 children of 11 and 12 years and four young girls from 17 to 20 years. ” (1)
