Alexander von Keyserling

Alexander Friedrich Michael Lebrecht Nikolaus Arthur, count von Keyserling is a paleontologist, a geologist and a German Naturaliste , born the August 15th 1815 and dead the May 8th 1891.

It belongs to a powerful family of germano-Baltic aristocrats. Regarded as one of the founders of the Russian Geology , it makes many forwardings for the account of his friend, the Tsar Nicolas I {{er}} (1796-1855). In addition to his work in geology, one owes him of research in Botanique.
