Al Pitrelli
Al Pitrelli is a guitarist of American rock'n'roll born the September 29th 1962 with New York.
After having studied with the Berklee College off Music during the Eighties, it begins its career while playing with dimensions from the singer Michael Bolton. It will take part thereafter of 1989 in 1995, with the rounds of Alice Cooper. In parallel, it integrates the group Asia and takes part in the recording of the albums Aqua in 1992 and Aria in 1993.
In 1995, it joined the group Savatage. It records Dead Winter Dead (1995) and The Wake off Magellan (1998). He is requested at this time by the producer of the group, Paul O'Neill, to take part in Trans-Siberian the project Orchestrated.
Beginning 2000, following the departure of Marty Friedman of the group Megadeth, Dave Mustaine contacts Al Pitrelli (on the councils of its beater Jimmy DeGrasso) and asks him to take part in the hearing of its new guitarist soloist. He will obtain the favors of the leader of Megadeth to the profit of James Murphy (Testament) and of Stef Burns (Y&T, Alice Cooper) and will officiate in the group until in 2002, year during which the group separates following the wound from Dave Mustaine.
With Megadeth, it will take part in the recording of the album The World Needs has Hero and with the live DVD Rude Awakening .
It returns quickly within the group Savatage as of 2002 and continues its work within the Trans-Siberian Orchestrated. In parallel, it created with its wife, Jane Mangini (pianist within TSO), the musical project: 0 ' 2L.
He also worked with the groups Danger Danger and Blue Öyster Cult.
