Aistolf
Aistolf or Aistulf, or Astolphe , is a king lombard who reigned of 749 with 756.
It conquered in 752 the Exarchat de Ravenne. It succeeds in seizing the grounds of the Church, when the pope Etienne II beseeched the help of Pépin the Brief, king of the Francs, who gained the Italic Péninsule, demolished Astolphe, took again Ravenne and made gift with the pope of it.
It had as a successor Didier.
