Airline company of Mali

The Airline company of Mali (CAMWOOD) is a mixed company of right Malian created in 2005. The capital of 3 billion francs CFA is held for 20% by the State, 51% by the Network Aga Khan and 29% by private investors Malians.

The bearing bill ratification of the ordinance n°05-010/P-RM of March 17th 2005 authorizing the participation of the State in the capital of the company was adopted unanimously by the National Assembly.

The Airline company of Mali must replace the old company “Air Mali”.

The 1st demonstration flight took place on June 6th, 2005. A plane DHC-8 carried out the laison Bamako - Mopti - Gao.

The company is charged to ensure the interior connections between Bamako (International airport of Bamako-Sénou) and the regional capital Mopti, Kayes, Tombouctou and Gao. It also ensures of the connections with African capitals, Brazzaville, Cotonou, Niamey, Abidjan and Ouagadougou and Paris (Aéroport of Orly).
