Air International Gabon
Air Gabon International was a Airline company Gabonaise but only in the form of legal status.
History
Air Gabon International was creates in 2006 following the Suspension of payment of the ex Gabonese national company Air Gabon.
The capital of the company of Gabonese Right, was held to a total value of 51% by the Groupe Royal Air Maroc and to 49% by the Gabonese State. The signature of the Pacte of shareholders took place with Libreville with the seat of the Primature of the Republic of Gabon Friday February 24th 2006. This pact was signed by the Minister for the Transport of the State of Gabon and Mr. Driss BENHIMA, Chairman and managing director of Royal Air Maroc.
Air Gabon International was inspired largely by the model of management of Air Senegal International, the company sénégalaise, which it was also repurchased by the Royal Air Maroc Group.
Air Gabon International would have to begin its activity at the end of the first six-month period 2006 with a fleet of 2 apparatuses. The company would have had the role transport of the passengers and freight starting from Libreville and towards the following main markets: France; Morocco; South Africa; Malawi; Congo Brazzaville; Angola etc
But following the divergences between the parties Gabonese and Moroccan, and also with the personal interests of the top executives Gabonese, (Family OBO…) this project did not take place, and a Gabonese company of Gabonese private law was launched. She names Gabon Airlines, to see Air Gabon.
Destination
Air Gabon International ensures transport between Libreville, the Gabonese capital, and several destinations of Africa and Europe.
