Air-brake
An air-brake is a device mainly present on the Aérodyne S, but also on certain cars of competition, making it possible to cause a deceleration by creation of Turbulence S increasing the Traînée.
They can be laid out around the Fuselage, in particular on the fighter plans, or the wing S. The air-brake is present on the majority of the airliners, and also on the fighter plans. The light planes equipped with this technology are rather rare, but one will be able to quote like exception the Jodel DR-1050
The air-brakes placed on the Voilure S of Avion S also decrease the Portance, by takeoff of the airflows of the surface of the wing. Used this manner, they belong to the essential components of the Planeur.
They can be thus used in combination with the others Gouverne S (Aileron S) to control the Assiette Aéronef.
