Aerospace international fair of Moscow

The aerospace International fair of Moscow (in Russian: MiƩjdounarodni Avionno-Kosmitcheski or MAKS) ) is held once every 2 years (odd year) on one of the various airports around Moscow, Joukovski, Vnoukovo, Modino etc

Organized first once in 1992 under the name of Mosaeroshow-92, the event since 1993 took its name current and organized every 2 years towards the end of August, in competition with the Paris airshow which is held a few weeks earlier. In 2005, it accommodated 606 exhibitors and 650.000 visitors. It is still the major aeronautical event for the countries of CEI which still largely use Russian material.
