Aeroflot

Aeroflot Russian Airlines (in Russian Аэрофлот ) is the Russian national airline company and most important through Russia. It operates since the International airport Cheremetievo. It had been created in 1932 and is full member of alliance SkyTeam since April 14th, 2006.

History

Aeroflot is the result of fusion on February 1st, 1932 of the first three companies created in Russia in the years 1920: Dobrolet (Russia), Ukrvozdoukhpout (Ukrainian air transport) and SakAvia (the Caucasus). March 8th, 1923, a " association of the friends of the aviation" had been created and a few days later was taken place the constituent meeting of the company Dobrolet (Good flight!). All the population was incited to buy actions to show patriotism. It appears that Lénine would have bought 60 of them (to 1,05 rouble/part). the two other companies had been created the same year. Dobrolet bought initially fifteen Junkers F 13 and opened the line Moscow Nijni-Novgorod on July 16th, 1923. Dobrolet cannot accomplish flights abroad it is thus the company Russo-allemande (semi-official/semi-private) Deruluft which ensures the Line Moscow - Königsberg - Berlin. In November 1930 Dobrolet took again Ukrvozdoukhpout which had already absorbed SakAvia . The association of the friends of aviation chapeautait all Soviet aviation meanwhile. It was the moment of the fusion and the creation of Aeroflot.

Aeroflot expressed in April 2007 its wish to become joint owner of the Italian airline company Alitalia: this new was made public by Unicredit, one of the independent groups financial of Europe equipped with 1.000 billion dollars credits and associated Russian airline company in the project. The managing director of Aeroflot, Valeri Okoulov, declared that a third partner could join the Aeroflot-Unicredit tandem. A source close to the Russian airline company entrusted that it was about Air France.

Aeroflot proposes flights through 87 cities in 47 countries in the world including 36 Européenne destinations and 5 destinations American plus the Canada and Cuba. She proposes also 2 destinations in Africa, 5 with the the Middle East, 10 destinations in Asia and 8 destinations in the old countries of the Soviet Union. And of course 24 destinations through the Russia.

To replace its old apparatuses long-distance carrier, the company chose the Airbus A350 which will enable him to modernize its fleet. The Russian company ordered 22 of them which will be delivered to him as from 2015, it however did not specify the type yet of it.
