Adolphe Piriou

Adolphe Piriou is a Compositeur French born the September 7th 1873 with Morlaix (Finistere) and dead the February 3rd 1964 with Paris.

Biography

It gives up its studies of pharmacy to devote itself to the study of the violin with Joseph Debroux and Lucien Capet; and with his/her brothers-in-law Aymé Kunc, director of the Conservatory of Toulouse and Pierre Kunc. It starts to learn the Harmonie and the counterpoint, between to the Schola Cantorum and follows the courses of Auguste Sérieyx and Vincent d' Indy. Soon, it has an enough firm writing to express in a very personal way nostalgia of the Brittany felt in Toulouse as in Paris.

In 1921, it gives to the Concerts Column With the foot of an old martyrdom and Florent Schmitt to write in Time (January 29th, 1930) in connection with this work: " the initial topic was one of most beautiful which is, of a meditation and a rise admirable."

  • With the country of Komor, in Armorique according to Leconte de Lisle, with in first part of the true size ( the storm ), a major poetry in the second ( the gorses ) and succeeded in preserving the tragic horror of the poem in the last part ( in the abyss ),

  • the Wheel of Armor , legend choreographic and musical (Opera of Paris, January 24th, 1936),
  • On some notes , dramatic ballet in six small scenes.
